What Do Our Customers & Drivers Say About Working With GFI Transport?

About Corn as a Commodity
Corn is heavyweight food and feed grain that must stay dry and clean in transit. It’s usually hauled in bulk straight from the combine or in bags on pallets. Harvest peaks in the fall, so having the right trailer and fast turnarounds is critical to avoid spoilage.
Our Trailer Fleet for Bulk Corn
Bulk corn transportation using dump trailers and hopper trailers is a highly efficient method for moving large volumes of grain from farms to processors, feed mills, or market destinations. Dump trailers are ideal for quick unloading using a hydraulic lift to tilt the trailer bed and release the corn in one swift motion—perfect for facilities with open receiving pits. On the other hand, hopper trailers feature funnel-shaped compartments and bottom discharge chutes, hopper trailers allow for precise, gravity-fed unloading with minimal grain loss. Both trailer types are designed to protect the corn from moisture and contamination, ensuring the product arrives in optimal condition. Together, they provide flexible, dependable solutions tailored to the needs of modern agriculture and bulk grain logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do you haul full truckloads only?
We handle full‑trailer corn loads. If you need less than a full trailer, we can arrange consolidation through our Garber Brokerage network.
How do you keep corn dry?
We use covered dump and hopper trailers with sealed tops and bottoms. We may use enclosed van trailers for bagged loads—so rain and moisture stay out.
Can you move bagged corn?
Yes. Bulk corn goes in dump or hopper trailers; bagged or palletized corn moves in our enclosed van trailers but most of our corn shipments are in bulk and use dump or hopper trailers.
What trailer types can I choose?
We offer two main options for bulk corn shipping:
- Dump Trailers for quick‑drop unloading of loose or bagged corn
- Hopper Trailers with built‑in covers for bulk loads
Which states do you ship to?
We ship corn to all 48 contiguous U.S. states—coast to coast, farm to market.
